Awoke to 18 degrees celsius. Happiness !
Pancakes for breakfast with Hannah and guests Louise & Ken, and Dave & ???
Visited the Gros Morne Visitor center to inquire about trails we could do today with the impending thunderstorms.
Decided on the Baker's Brook Falls Trail (9.2 km return) Saw our first moose (up close and personal) waited for about 20 minutes as he "hogged" the trail. AMAZING Pictures. Continued in and saw the three layers of waterfalls. Had a snack at the falls and then hiked back. Saw a ptarmigan and her offspring.
Did the Berry Hill Trail (1.5 km return straight up) View was good ! Saw two more moose (thru the camera lens)
Went to the Lobster Cove Lighthouse/Museum/scenic lookout. Still no rain. Still no thunder. 18 degrees and windy !
Back to the visitor center to rest (and blog !)
Updated blog. Caught up with e-mails as it rained outside. Good Timing !
Went to Rocky Harbour and did the tourist thing visiting craft stores in "town". Bought a Newfoundland Music CD.
Back to the Ocean Acre Inn B&B. Parked. Walked "town" and had our "Anniversary" dinner at the beatuiful Ocean View Hotel Good food. (I had a stuffed chicken and Sharon had the pan-fried cod. Splurged with a Brownie Supreme dessert. YUM YUM !
Back to the B&B and got caught up with the locals (hosts Hannah, Clary and Dorothy)
