Sunny day !
Got to sleep in because we were not at a B&B !
Went to Zachary's Restaurant for breakfast
So guess who walks in 5 minutes after us ... Brian and Colleen. Too funny.
We make plans to drive to Cape Spear for the morning.
Saw some more whales. They were bigger (or maybe we were closer) They were very active.
Toured along the shore (but not too close like those other tourists who got whistled in by the park ranger).
Climbed to the lighthouse.
Took Colleen and Brian shopping for some supplies.
Dropped them off at their hotel.
We did another hike expecting to tour the Geo Center but took a surprise left hand turn in the path (to the Lakeview Trail) We went down to the Quidi Vidi Lake and ended up at the Quidi Vidi Brewery. Talked to the owner but we weren't convinced we could fit the 4:20 tour in and be back in time to meet Colleen. We took the 4:30 tour and said we would hustle back to our hotel. It was fun ! Sampled 6 different beer 1892, Eric, 7, Iceberg, Honey Brown and a Cranberry beer. Very good. a fun time but we had to boot it back to our hotel to meet Colleen. Step in owner, he drove us back to a place that saved us about a 30 minute walk. What a nice guy!
Had a quick nap.
Colleen came to our room and we walked to meet Brian at George Street and Duckworth
Walked George Street but not a lot of action yet.
Us old farts suspect the young ones were napping and getting ready to come out at midnight.
Had dinner at Birdie Molloy's
Checked out George Street again. They were setting up the band equipment. Saw the "Huck Farper" grafitti. Walked back to our hotel along Water Street.
